Loved this study which compared online vs face-to-face administration of the impulse control disorder (ICD) questionnaire in PD. This is a study that might change the practice related to data acquisition in research on ICD.

Good reminder of what’s FDA approved for bipolar disorder…

– Only Li, OLZ, ARI, & LTG are approved for maintenance; VPA and CBZ aren’t.
– Only QTP, OLZ/FLX, LUR, & CRZ for depression.
– LTG isn’t approved for acute mania or depression–maintenance efficacy based on depression. pic.twitter.com/BFFyxWroGJ

Stop using MoCA/MMSE total scores to characterize cognitive dysfunction? I prefer bedside tests of frontal function, memory, language, praxis, parietal and visual-spatial; then consider other features. Total numbers helpful in research; less important in solving mystery. Weighted blankets may help promote sleep in patients suffering from insomnia by prompting the release of a higher concentration of melatonin, according to results from a small, in-laboratory crossover study. #NeuroTwitter ms.spr.ly/6015dKZVU pic.twitter.com/8jVNROcE8w
