In follow up to discussion on rounds I proved a brie refresher and resources on suicide risk reduction.
The brief article (SAFE-T application …) by Douglas Jacobs is excellent. He is almost single handed responsible for the national push for screening. I also attach a pocket SAFE-T Card..
The "how to" power point by Kim Hutton is informative. Teel the students to not get bogged down in details but attend to the content of the SAFE-T
I also provide links for McLean (Harvard), UPMC (Pittsburgh) and UTMB (Texas medical school)
all of which use the SAFE-T.
